Camera
The camera on the Alexa Echo Show is one megapixel. This camera is not for taking high-resolution pictures or videos. Instead, it is for video calling and surveillance purposes. Therefore, please do not expect any great performance from this camera. Alexa gave a button to close the lens. This button is provided for privacy reasons. With the Alexa app, you can monitor the camera footage of the Echo Show from anywhere.
Operating System
Echo Show (fire OS 6.5.5.0) is a fire operating system found on Amazon Fire TVs and tablets. It is an Android variant. The processor is MediaTek MT8163. Eco show only offers relatively non-dynamic performances. The response to the Echo Show seems to be so lagged because of the familiarity with smartphones. But for this device, it’s quite good.
Audio
The Echo Show has two 2.0-inch neodymium speakers. It is louder than the Echo dot models. It also has a 3.5mm audio output. The phone can be connected to Bluetooth but can only play audio and it’s a drawback if we play music from Youtube.
Performance
Noise control itself is an important feature of the Echo Show. You can make a video call to Echo Show through the Alexa app. If you have smart devices at home like other Alexa devices, you can control them. A good feature is that you can watch videos on Amazon Prime, Netflix, and YouTube with good sound. You can watch movies better than you can watch on a smartphone.
Screen Interface
The Echo Show menu is like the notification bar on the phone. You can touch all the essentials by scrolling down. There is a home button to say Alexa Home. Let’s decide what content we want on the home screen.
In a nutshell, Alexa Echo Show is a useful device at home with a smart speaker and a kid-sized screen. But not worth it in this price range.
